Hutan Rimba
Do not misunderstand me—I do not seek to cast blame,
for truly, it is of no concern to me.
I wish only to speak this truth: oftentimes, it is we who are naïve, adrift in ignorance.
The law of the wild is merciless—
the weak, the witless, the unwary are devoured without remorse.
This world is unyielding, thus we must not falter in idleness,
must not wallow in folly,
must not bow to frailty.
All things must be questioned,
even the very words I now bestow upon you.
Do not take me as one who is always right,
for I am but human—flawed, fallible, and fleeting.
